【摘要】:ThispartofEN843specifiesmethodsfordeterminingtheelasticmoduli,specificallyYoung'smodulus,shearmodulusandPoisson'sratio,ofadvancedmonolithictechnicalceramicsatroomtemperature.ThisEuropeanStandardprescribesfouralternativemethodsfordeterminingsomeorallofthesethreeparameters:AThedeterminationofYoung'smodulusbystaticflexureofathinbeaminthree-orfour-pointflexure.BThedeterminationofYoung'smodulusbyforcedlongitudinalresonance,orYoung'smodulus,shearmodulusandPoisson'sratiobyforcedflexuralandtorsionalresonance,ofathinbeam.CThedeterminationofYoung'smodulus,shearmodulusandPoisson'sratiofromthetime-of-flightofanultrasonicpulse.DThedeterminationofYoung'smodulusfromthefundamentalnaturalfrequencyofastruckbar(impulseexcitationmethod).???Allthetestmethodsassumetheuseofhomogeneoustestpiecesoflinearelasticmaterials.NOTE1Notallceramicmaterialsareequallyandlinearlyelasticintensionandcompression,suchassomeporousmaterialsandsomepiezoelectricmaterials.WiththeexceptionofMethodC,thetestassumesthatthetestpiecehasisotropicelasticproperties.MethodCmaybeusedtodeterminethedegreeofanisotropybytestingindifferentorientations.NOTE2Anultrasonicmethodfordealingwithanisotropicmaterials(ceramicmatrixcomposites)canbefoundinENV14186[1].AnalternativetoMethodDforisotropicmaterialsusingdisctestpiecesisgiveninAnnexA.NOTE3AthighporositylevelsallofthemethodsexceptMethodCmaybecomeinappropriate.Themethodsareonlysuitableforamaximumgrainsize(seeEN623-3),excludingdeliberatelyaddedwhiskers,oflessthan10%oftheminimumdimensionofthetestpiece.NOTE4ThedifferentmethodsgiveninthisEuropeanStandardcanproduceslightlydifferentresultsonthesamematerialowingtodifferencesbetweenquasi-isothermalquasi-staticandquasi-adiabaticdynamicconditions.Inaddition,thecalculationroutinesfordifferentmethodshavedifferentoriginsanddifferentpotentialuncertaintieswhichhavenotbeenrigorouslyevaluatedinproducingthisEuropeanStandard.SomeinformationisgiveninAnnexB(seealsoreference[2]).
