【摘要】:Theenergyinputratetestisusedtoconfirmthatthedouble-sidedgriddleisoperatingproperlypriortofurthertesting.Thetemperatureuniformityofthebottomcookingsurfacemaybeusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstoselectadouble-sidedgriddlethatprovidesauniformlycookedproduct.Thepreheatenergyandtimecanbeusefultofoodserviceoperatorstomanagepowerdemandsandtoknowhowrapidlythedouble-sidedgriddlecanbereadyforoperation.Theidleenergyrateandpilotenergyratecanbeusedtoestimateenergyconsumptionduringnon-cookingperiods.Cookingenergyefficiencyisapreciseindicatorofdouble-sidedgriddleenergyperformanceundervariousloadingconditions.Thisinformationenablesthefoodserviceoperatortoconsiderenergyperformancewhenselectingadouble-sidedgriddle.Productioncapacityisusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstochooseadouble-sidedgriddlethatmatchestheirfoodoutputrequirements.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheenergyconsumptionandcookingperformanceofdouble-sidedgriddles.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectadouble-sidedgriddleandunderstanditsenergyefficiencyandproductivity.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletothermostaticallycontrolled,double-sidedgasandelectric(orcombinationgasandelectric)contactgriddleswithseparatelyheatedtopsurfaces.1.3Thedouble-sidedgriddlecanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(10.2);1.3.2Temperatureuniformityacrossthecookingsurface(s)andthermostatsaccuracy(10.3);1.3.3Preheatenergyandtime(10.4);1.3.4Idleenergyrate(10.5;1.3.5Pilotenergyrate,ifapplicable(10.6;1.3.6Cookingenergyrateandefficiency(10.7;and1.3.7Productioncapacityandcookingsurfacetemperaturerecoverytime(10.7).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
