【摘要】:Thispracticeshouldbeusedbymanufacturersofcolor-measuringinstrumentsanddevelopersofsoftwarewhenthetransmissionofcolorandappearancedataisdesiredbetweeninstrumentsorcomputers.Themethodoftransmissionmaybeviadirectconnection,modem,orthetransferofelectronicmedia,forexample,byfloppydisktransfer.Thepracticelendsitselftothetransmissionofeitherasinglerecordofdataormultiplerecordfiles.ExamplesoffilesgeneratedinthispracticearecontainedinFig.X1.1andFig.X2.1oftheappendixes.1.1Thispracticecoversprocedurestobeusedintheelectronicexchangeofcolorandappearancedatabetweenusers,byeithermodemorthephysicaltransferofelectronicmedia.Itisintendedforusebymanufacturersofcolor-measuringinstrumentsanddevelopersofsoftwaresothatanyinstrumentmayacquiredataforitsusethatmayhavebeenmeasuredonaninstrumentofanothermanufacturer,atanotherplace,oratanothertime.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
