【摘要】:ProceduressuchasTestMethodsD665andD3603assesstheabilityofneworunusedhydraulicfluidtopreventrustingonwettedsteelsurfacesbutdonotaddressthepreventionofrustinginthevaporspaceabovethefluid.Thisprocedureaddressesthelatterquestionunderonesetoftestconditionsandneednotbeapplicabletosomeserviceconditions.Sinceusedfluidshavenotbeencooperativelytestedinthisprocedure,itsutilityforin-servicemonitoringhasnotbeenestablished.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheabilityofhydraulicfluidstopreventtherustingofsteelinthevaporphaseoverthehydraulicfluidandwater.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
