【摘要】:ThispartofBS4745specifiesthreemethodsforthedeterminationoftheresistanceoffabrics,fabricassembliesorfibreaggregatesinsheetformtothetransmissionofheatthroughtheminthesteadystatecondition.Itappliestomaterialswhosethermalresistanceisuptoapproximately0.2m2·K/W.Thesemethodsaresuitableformaterialsupto20mmthick(abovethisthickness,edgelossesbecomeappreciable).AdviceonsuitablecomponentsforconstructingtheapparatusisgiveninAnnexAandmeansofcalculatingthethermalconductivityaredescribedinAnnexB.Threemethodsaredescribed:a)two-platemethod:fixedpressureprocedure;b)two-platemethod:fixedopeningprocedure;c)single-platemethod.Eitherofthetwo-platemethodsissuitableformaterialsthat,wheninuse,havetheirouterfacesshieldedfromtheambientair,e.gablanketwhencoveredbyabedspread.Thesingle-platemethodissuitableformaterialsthat,wheninuse,havetheirouterfacesexposedtotheambientair(e.g.bedspreadsandouterwear).Thetwo-platemethodsaregenerallypreferredonaccuracyandreproducibilitygrounds.
